Dutch aviation journalist and historian Cees Steijger is author of the bestseller 'A history of USAFE' (Airlife, 1991). He wrote the book 'Crazy Horse' about the B-17 with that nickname that crashed in Lake IJsselmeer on 21 February 1944. Currently, he is researching the role of the U.S. Air Force in the Cold War for the four part series 'On the Edge'. The first part of that book was released in July 2023.
